Bioneras will be one of a few Hemp Processing Facilities with the critical mass of fibre and seed available to support long term development of biology based Advanced Materials.

This is not seen to be a pure science research facility.

The Institute will perform Research and Development on new products and services, or innovative applications of known materials, with a focus on their suitability for commercialization.

Hemp will be one of our main targets. Also of interest are various applications of carbon black, biochar and activated carbon. There are by-products inherent in the Aquaponics operation that we can combine with biochar or activated carbon to produce high quality, organic soils and grow mediums.

The Institute will be institutionally aligned with the Agricultural Research Station in Brooks and one or more regional colleges or technical institutes.
